Good Afternoon 6th grade Families and Students,

We hope you are having a warm day at home! It was fun meeting with our incoming students and parents this past week.

If you were not able to attend either parent info night, everything is linked in the DCMS Course Preference Newsletter linked HERE and below. This includes the DCMS Info Slides, DCMS Course Guide, Athletics Flyer and Elective Course Selection Google Form.

The following 3 steps must be completed in order for a student schedule to be released on August 6, 2025.

***If you 6th grader did not receive this email from me, please forward it to their Deer Creek student email and they can access the Google Form on their chromebook to choose their electives.

25-26 DCMS Course Preference

ATTN: ALL 6th and 7th grade students

It is important for ALL 6th and 7th grade students to complete the course preference process so we can "save your spot" and build our Master Schedule!

Course selections are DUE Friday, March 7th.

DCMS Course Preference: Step prepare for the upcoming school year!

Step 1: Selecting Elective Course Options -- Grades 6-7, February 11 - March 7, 2025. Use the button below that is located under the picture of the clock to access the form. Remember the students must be logged in with their student email to access the form.

Step 2: 2025-2026 Online Registration (OLR) for ALL Deer Creek Students -- This requirement will take place March 26 - April 25, 2025. All families must officially register their students for the upcoming school year.

Step 3: Proof of Residency -- July/Aug 2025: All Deer Creek families must submit proof that they reside in the school district in order to attend DC schools.

Incoming 7th Grade Families -- The Tdap shot is required by the State of Oklahoma prior to the start of the child's 7th grade year. An updated shot record or exemption form must be submitted before a student schedule is released.

Oklahoma State Law allows immunization exemptions for medical, religious, or personal reasons. Parents who opt not to immunize their children will be responsible for providing an approved exemption certificate to their child’s school. ALL exemptions expire at the end of the student’s 6th grade year. A new exemption request should be submitted by the guardian to the Oklahoma State Department of Health prior to the child entering 7th grade.
